Will Smith wants to set the record straight after becoming a viral meme.

Back in July, the 52-year-old lit up the internet after appearing on an episode of wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook show “Red Table Talk.”

During the interview, Will and Jada discussed her “entanglement” with R&B singer August Alsina while the married couple were on a break.

Almost immediately after airing, fans began sharing images of what appeared to be a teary-eyed Will getting emotional upon hearing his wife describe the alleged affair. It quickly went viral.

Now the couple wants to let everyone know that Will wasn’t crying, just dehydrated.

"He doesn't cry. He wasn't crying," Jada said in a new video posted to Will’s YouTube channel.

"I'm not sad a lot," Will shared. "I think because I drink so much coffee I get dehydrated and it makes my eyes watery. I know people think I'm crying all the time."

Jada elaborated how the “Red Table Talk” shoot ran late and they were prepping to head out of town.

"No, it was midnight, we were shooting at midnight because we were trying to rush and go to the airport in the morning," she continued. "I said 'reshoot it' but it played out. Everyone is like 'Poor Will.'"

During the episode of “Red Table Talk,” Jada described starting the relationship with Alsina.

"Four and a half years ago… I started a friendship with August and we actually became really, really good friends," Jada said. “It all started with him just needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state."

Around this time, Will and Jada ran into difficulties and decided to separate for a period of time.

“From there as time went on I got into a different kind of entanglement with August,” she added.

After Jada used the word “entanglement” to describe the romantic relationship, it became a trending topic.

Will and Jada, who married in 1997, later reconciled and have since “gotten to that new place of unconditional love,” the “Girls Trip” actress said.
